History
Miller
Container was founded in 1959 by Tom Miller. Tom was able to utilize
his winnings from the Irish Sweepstakes and start the long lasting
foundation of Miller Container. To this day, Aggressor, the horse
that crossed the finish line for Tom, is part of our company logo.
Tom Miller sold the company to Jerry VanSeveren and Jay Vonderhaar
in 1986. Over a 15 year time span, Jay and Jerry were able to take
Miller Container to the next level. Through various plant investments,
Miller Container grew from a 180 employee based operation to over
300 employees.
Upon announcing their retirement in 2001, Eric VanSeveren and Mike
Vonderhaar purchased the company from Jay and Jerry. In the last
5 years, Eric and Mike have invested over $20,000,000 into
state
of the art equipment and facilities. These investments have made
Miller Container the best equipped and diverse corrugated company
in the
Midwest.
Today, the Miller Container Team has grown to over 470 strong. Each
team member plays a key part in dazzling our customers across the
United States.
